anyone fitted a decent size speaker cable to front speakers?
was down the bodyshop today and now im wondering how i get a decent size cable into the front doors for the speakers?
im sure someone has done this, theres a \'boot\' with pins in it, if i move them around i might be able to drill a hole big enough maybe?
so what have other people done?
had another boot fitted and the doors drilled?
if photos are availible id appreciate it thanks!!! this photo sort iof shows the plug

well my friend put holes in the bit of rubber pipe and ran it through that, but that was a quick and easy way to do it, and not a very good idea.
Depends if you want a proper job doing really lol.

arr sounds like there is enough room then maybe, id go for the quick option rather than the drilling as the doors been sprayed now

All i did was get the two connectors and drill a 8mm hole through both ends and feed the wires through and down behind the ECU and under the seats etc. I have 12Gauge speaker wiring with 4Gauge power/earth.4 wires go through the door because i have midrange and tweeters in there from my components.

I did do a proper job by the way
3 Layers of Aqua Seal Flashing tape & 1 Layer of Dynamat Extreme on the doors. And 2 layers of Aqua Seal Flashing Tape and 1 Layer of Brown Bread in the boot.
They are JL XR650 6.5\" Components powered by the 5Channel Alpine V12 amp.

id forgotten all about this, your right adam, i\'ll get them drilled while the doors are off, the pins would need moving if i try and drill the multiplug,
i like the sound of having the door drilled with grommits fitted, i\'ll see what they say tomorrow
