Hi i have a 1.2i and has done 86k miles, i was wondering how much would it cost so change it to a 2L and how much it puts insurance up? cause im gettin bored of everyone beating me a races and stuff.
or is it easier and cheaper just to buy a 2l corsa and worth it cause of the miles my car has done?
thanx

id say it\'d be easier to buy one already done. mine cost me best part of 4k (with brakes front and back) and still looks like dog poo
plus i spent another 1k afterwards with teething problems and stuff
if you are handy with a spanner give it a go yourself?
insurence when i was 22 (3yrs no claims i think) 1180 with adrian flux fully comp, all mods declared and told em i use it to commute, 12k a yr

firstly thats really really stupid racing in a 1.2,
as for the topic question, a calibra turbo redtop around £1000 for the engine alone, best off looking for a lightly damaged calli turbo, as it will porbs work out cheaper. look on www.ebay.co.uk, freeads, club calibra or migweb.
as for fitting that will probs be another £1000 i guess, [ i could be wrong though], obviousley the insurance will go up a lot, depends how old you are. how many years no claims etc. best place to try would be adrian fulx www.adrianflux.co.uk, www.elephant.co.uk or www.confused.com
good luck mate with it all
