I want more power.....my current engine is good but too slow 4 me. on the other hand i love my car and don\'t want the hassle of gettin another corsa with a big engine...therefor the only thing for me is to do and engine conversion...
Few things i wondered.... how much difference is there insurance wise between a standard gsi 1.6 and a corsa wit and engine conversion of the same power...
also where is the best place to get an engine....what do i need!

For insurance, speak to the company your existing policy is with.
There is no way on earth anyone can guess how much it could cost you, there\'s so many personal details involved . Saying that, I wouldn\'t say there would be much difference, if anything a converted car would be less as the GSi has a higher group rating.

when i did the conversion my insurance went from 800 to 1100 for a year
not to bad for f/c and 6 points

ive done a conversion from a 1.6 16v to 1.8 16v in my gsi and my insurance has gone from 275 quid to 550 quid its outrageous

astra gte mine was from
