Uniroyals as they\'d be a better all round tyre than the Proxes.
For 195/50s you should have plenty of options from Continental, Michelin, etc. Why have you narrowed it down to those two?

There are better tyres than Toyo Proxes! If you can afford them, go for Michelins.

50 profiles are cheaper and will give a nicer ride.
45 profiles look better and are better suited if you hoon about everywhere.

GT Champero\'s are nasty tyres though. If you think you\'ve got good performance from them then either your old tyres were seriously poor or you\'ve never had a decent set of rubber.

True for that cost you can\'t moan, but that\'s what PVD used as a budget tyre on their wheel packages... mainly because they cost next to nothing!

i have michlin pilot exalto, in 195/45/15, cost me £350 for 4 fitted. they are a fantastic tyre, grip well in wet and dry, best tyre iv ever had and iv done a hell of a lot of miles on them!

yea its also coz the 2 tyres are only around £30 from mytyres.com so that part of the reason.

i honestly think hardest wearing tyres ive had were avon ZV1\'s, nice tyres, road noise isnt too bad, they just last for ever! £50ish each, on 195.45.15
ive had yoko\'s and they are dog poo, i dunno why everyone raves about them, they just wear straight threw
also falken, they were ok, bit noisy

Yokohama 539s are an excellent tyre for the track, but they\'re too soft for daily road use.
