i honestly think hardest wearing tyres ive had were avon ZV1\'s, nice tyres, road noise isnt too bad, they just last for ever! £50ish each, on 195.45.15

ZV3s aren\'t bad as a high performance tyre, asymmetric... but better still are ZZ3s which are Avon\'s UHP tyre but they\'re only available in the larger wheel sizes. Shame because they have a lovely tread pattern...

i had zz3\'s on my front but it caused the front to understeer more, i\'ve now got yoko a539\'s on the front and you can really tell the difference, ive had them on for 4 months and the front end just sticks now. I\'d go for yoko\'s. Motor world do surprisingly cheap ones.

I\'d go for yoko\'s. Motor world do surprisingly cheap ones only cost £150 for 2 and they are 17\"\'s.

I suspect it was more to do with you driving beyond the limits of your car.
