... are supposedly cracking down on \"boy racers\", they are now pulling anyone and everyone who has any modifications done to their cars, they are meant to be checking with insurance companies whether they have been declared or not, and if they havent they will be prosecuted.

this is what i heard anyway, anyone else heard anything??

how lame is that....

but declaring is pointless unless you\'ve got FPFT or full comp, even then its still a waste of time cos insurance companys hate paying out.
what a complete waste of police time that will be if its true tho, specialist police just to pull everyone over to check if they\'ve declared everything,

new police tag line \"To protect and serve, oh and pull boy racers over\"

it is, its a waste of police time and resources,

does it actually state on your insurance certificate that you have mods or not??

sounds fair enough if you ask me, that way theyll be less badger on our roads. why do loads of people worry about declaring mods, just ring your insurance company and ask them about it. the rise will be probably next to nothing if your with a specialist insurer such as flux or performance direct.

cop\'s in essex did this last year, was great

and on my insurance doc it lists my mods made it alot easier. im sure they can send you a covering letter stating what you have declared.

yes i realise that it invalidates the insurance, i was going put that in my first statement but forgot, i rang mine to declare alloys and they said no need, i realise that car mods with some companys will void the doc. \"Chav pickey ****\" ? erm lol ?

whatever... my statement about waste of police time is that there are other crimes which IMO !!! are more important tbh

i do care about dicked\'s driving round spoiling the streets for the rest of us, but police have a hard enough jobs keeping dicked\'s off the streests never mind the roads.

plus. there are not enough police in the first place never mind road police, so IMO i believe this in a way is a complete waste of time, but obvously has its benifits :p

funnily enough all the lads have been warned to stay off the cruise ay bolton, otherwise they will inform insurance companies about mods and things, also the car park we use has parking bays, and you have to park in them, even though the car park is not in its operating hours when the cruise is on, the police are using pictures to try and prosecute the \"cruisers\" because they havnt parked in the bays, to try and get rid of them

what will they come up with next??? im confused really as to how that\'d work tho, as most car parks are private owned round my way. mind you if i was the land owner not sure id want loads of cruisers on it at night.... theres always that one dickhead isnt there! and everyone laughs when they roll there car
