This ones quite a weird query, and i hate the noise.
Basically, when I\'m in 1st and I\'m going slowly and slide it into second when i bring my clutch up past biting point, i get this creaky/clunking noise, which is just a one off and then goes back to normal. It happens every time i change from 1st to 2nd/ 2nd to 1st and sometimes from 3rd to 4th.
But it only seems to do it when I\'m going slowly, not flogging it (depends i may just not be able to hear it )
Any ideas what it is, and how i can fix it
Other problems with my car are:
Overheats far too easily (water levels are right, oil levels are right fan kicks in just below 100 and cools engine down) only does it whilst stationary, or in traffic moving slowly)
When i start my car up on a morning, if i put the clutch down whilst in neutral and stationary, and then pull it straight up it makes the engine sound v.bad lol as if its struggling to tick over.
My cars about shagged i think
......By the way, does anyone wanna buy a corsa? White......mint condition honest!!!

I \"Think\" (Scary i know)
That the clutch is adjusted too high up
basically its catching when you have the clutch up slightly even when in neutral
on a flat surface in neutral ticking over if you press in the clutch for a few seconds then bring it up you hear the clunk and engine struggles for a second yes?
Seen this on a corsa basically with a shagged clutch that was adjusted to take out the slack
I know it\'s not much help to you but it\'s a starting point!
A fresh clutch in the corsa sorted it

To sell my car? at least £400. Cos im a tight ass mofo!
Na its not causing me any problems....yet! just currently saving up for a newer corsa like something post \'97 Something i can modify without the thought of, whats the point, the cars probably going to be rendered useless in a weeks time cos the clutch has popped!
How much is a new clutch to be bought, and fitted? My uncle said the car wouldnt be worth it, as he works at sherwoods.... but then again they charge a fortune for anything...

The car heating up to 100 then the fan kickign in is due to the fan switch workign at 100 and turnign off at 95, with age scum build up on the switch means it turns on slightly hotter, you cna leave it, or take it out and clean it off, or replace it.
the nasty noises the gearbox is making could inidcate a poorly gearbox, try putting fresh gearbox oil in there.
