Banging exhaust! Please help stop this noise.
Got a 1.6 corsa with a Sebring back box on it. Car is lowered 60mm and now the exhaust clamp is banging on the rear axle. Any ideas how I can stop it. All I keep hearing from garages at the moment is \"the only way to stop it is by raising the suspension, as it is too low\". I want to keep it this low as I like the look, but the noise is very annoying. Any ideas how to stop it??
Many thanks in advance

Gonna go to some exhaust\'s places tomorrow and see about getting some sort of cushion/wrap place around the rear axle, and see if that improves it

right
get new rubbers
then get under the car
fit new rubbers
undo the clamp after the cat
then undo the back box clamp
twist the centre section so the bend sits at its highest point and tighten up the clamp by the cat
then position the back box and have the backbox clamp bolts pionting upwards and do them up
it is do-able as my firt corsa had a 2-1/2\" rally system on lowered 60mm and that never rattled, banged on anything

Same as me replacement exhaust are usually fitted with the clamp down to make it easier to change in future, when you lower the suspension this is the lowest point so is the first part to catch
A stiff 60 MM drop shouldn\'t catch your exhaust unless you have a very modded exhaust, place like select a Tyre might do it you free if your nice and say your thinking about buying some Tyre\'s etc.
That\'s what I did

Cheers for all replys. Car is going into garage on wednesday as every where I took it would not touch it as it is \"Modified\" or \"Non Standard\". Bloke there said he had done lots of corsa and said that he was going to put 2.0ltr cav springs from where it goes manifold to exhaust and then put a smaller clamp on it and has told me this would stop it.
