eletric windows or how to fix winder:P

Anyone know how much it\'ll cost to fit in electric windows ?:P lol

because my window winder (on driving side) is buggered.... it won\'t wind down the window completely it\'ll go a certain height then when i reach that point it just keeps cracking and won\'t wind down

Any ideas on these?

if its electric windows you havem get some vaseline on the runners inside the door cards...before you burn the motor out

I have winders atm but want electric windows (because my winders are slightly buggered) and wondered how much it\'ll be for electric windows fitted:P

If its alot then how do i fix my winders because it goes down so far and starts cracking and the winder just goes round without winding the window down, but it works ok when winding back up tho

Sounds like there\'s a problem with the linkage - fitting electric windows will probably have the same problem as you\'re not replacing the faulty part.

Get a new mech from a scrapyard and try that.

how do i fix the linkage problem?

when i\'ve got a new mech that is lol.
never taken my car apart yet only had it for about 2 months atm

Just replace it all. Once your door card interior trim is off, put the winder handle back on and look at what\'s happening to the mech.

Then go off and have a play in the scrapyard and if theirs are working, just take the whole mech to replace with yours.
