revin to high on tick over!!!!

me engine is revin to high on tick over. i had it pluged in an it was the idol senser, so i fix that ,3 weeks later i am messin round with the main air intake pipe an it started revin its arss off, an when ya rev it u can here air bein sucked in from behind the manafold any ideas

check the idler valve, try cleaning it or replace it

have a good look around sounds like a pipe fallen off or cracked allowing air in

[done that mate had it pluged in first time round an thats wot it was..... but now its somit new!!!! thanx anyway

cheers thats wot i thought u can here it when ya rev it its goin in the garage again 2 moz just 2 be pluged in, because engine light is on!!!!

i had similar thing, it was a stepper motor for the idle control valve (if my memory serves me correctly) took it to vauxhall the \'experts\' and they didnt have a clue/tried to mug me off.
so i called up this bloke who does car electrics and servicing, he says \'yeah i know what that is\' think he charged me £80, never had the problem again

same here they were gonna charge me 35 just 2 plug it.... went 2 a fella down the road, charged me 15 quid an said last time an said once u paid its free of charge next time so i will make the most of that.. i went vauxhll yesterday 2 get a servo pipe an didnt have bubble bath on wot i was talkin about lol i had 2 show him on his computer!!!!

the bloke at my local vaux garage parts department is ace, you can go in and say ive got this problem do you think its......
and he\'ll tell you what he thinks it is, and he\'s never been wrong yet
