16" Monza Alloys

Post by phillygee »

Hi,
Ok first time on here but seems wicked so far.
Heres a question i have spend months trying to find the answer.
I have taken my car to my own mechanic and kwik fix and neither have managed to help......
I put some 16\" alloys on my car about 3 months ago and if i have people in the back seat and go over a bump, the outside of the wheel rubs agains the plastic wheel arch......... BUT it is only on the passenger side

ANY ideas how i can sort this out before my wheels burst

Or the wheels are the wrong offset. Check behind the centre cap (if any) or around the inside of the rim. Look for a number starting with \"ET\" or something like 38, 42 or 45.
No more Corsa :(

it just means your suspension is a bit more knackered on that one side., wouldn\'t worry 2 much, i don\'t bother carrying rear passengers, to much hassel.

Rubbing tyre walls

I;ve lowered mine 60mm on 15\'s and have had my archs rolled but have found that it catches slightly on the rear drivers side arch. Got the wheel off and had a good look...Found out it was the bolt that holds the arch trims on. I grinded it back to nut without taking too much off, Now i can load it up with 5 people and dont have to worry about avoiding bumps.Give that one a try sunshine
