Offsets for Corsa's

Post by fudleone »

Dear all,

i am getting confuzzled more and more everyday.

i have been told by rochford tyres that ET 35-38 will be fine for 15\"s.

i have looked at most threads in here and they say nothing below ET45 for a vauxhall corsa.

can somebody enlighten me?

Cheers,

Rochford Tyres want to take your money.

There are plenty of alloy wheels available in offsets ET45-49.

The whole point of sticking to the ET45-49 limit is that you\'re keeping the cars geometry in line with it\'s factory setup - it\'s nothing to do with whether the wheel will hit the arch, etc.

If bodywork is in the way, then just butcher it with a hacksaw.

that is really quite shocking, that rochford wheel and tyres would recommend an offset of 35-38, thats all wrong for the corsa and would cause you all kind of problems,

however im not that surprised as i went up there as its near me, spoke to the guy and wasnt that impressed. cant really put my finger on it, (it wasnt exactly clear what shop was rochford wheel and tyres as there was two opposite each other)

anyways he had my number and kept ringing me about wheels and i just thought f**k off in the end!

about 5 month ago, didint realise until a long time after, i thought they would of been fine because they didint touch the arches etc, only realised until you said that it messes the geometry up, no wonder my steering is total crap!
