16v or 8v????
until 2day i thought mine was a 16v cuz of the speed?! my mate had the same car as me on an L plate(mine\'s on an M) and my car seemed quicker than his. i\'ve had passengers in my car amazed at the speed of the thing. One lad with a 1.8 bmw said my car would piss on his
From the performance of the 1.4\'s i should think your 1.6 goes well!

yeh it does, ive had it remapped aswell so running bout 118 bhp, i love doing over bmws, can do alot of the mark up to about 2.0 litre after that they beat me ha.but most corsas dont expect a 1.6 sport so quite funny when they race me

mines an M reg though? (SRi rather than sport) i always reckon that the older cars were faster than the newer versions.

16v or 8v????
the 1994 1.4 sri was 8v, same engine as mine (Currently!)
The 16 v engine has the big rocker cover for the DOHC (Double overhead cam, bits for the other 8 values )
for a light car its pretty good at approx 82 ish BHP
better than the standard 52(?) ish BHP of a normal 1.4
have fun just remember to use that higher rev range but not right at the top as it goes pretty flat on the old torque, Ive driven a 1.6 corsa B and didn\'t honestly feel a massive difference, but on a motor that\'s about 11 years old it can vary from car to car, depends how well looked after it is ... Mileage etc
