new steering wheel, airbag warning light
i have fitted a mountney steering wheel to my 1.2 16v.
the fitting was fairly easy with parts from a corsa without an airbag.
wondered if anyone knew of any way to get the airbag warning light to go off.
i\'ve tried to put different size resistors across the airbag connection pins but didn\'t seem to work.
i\'m sure people have changed steering wheels on corsa\'s with airbags so i would be grateful of any advice.
cheers!!

just remove the bulb, that probably the easiest way.

i thought about removing the bulb but apparently the mechanics look for it in other ignition related settings without the car actually starting.

Just checked haynes book and it says you need to put a 5A fuse between the conections.

i tried putting a fuse between the connections and also resistors and wire but none seem to work. i then tried plugging the airbag back in but the light still stayed on.
i have also tried disconnecting the battery for 20 mins while i do it so that it would reset the system but still doesn\'t seem to go off??? now I\'m confused!
please tell me i don\'t need to plug it in to reset the warning

when ever the airbag is disconnected the airbag light needs resetting!
the light will come on with ignition as normal and go off them come strraight back on!
you have to take your car to vaux and they plug a little comp into your ECU by the fuse box thingy and they reset it!
or take the bulb out like a few people including myself have done!
they will only look for the airbag light if you have a airbag!
