Mot is soon here

Hi i have got my mot for my 1996 vauxhall cora merit coming up soon

is there anything i shoudl be warry off or anything i coudl infact fix before the service.

Me being a leaner driver (17) i cant give a good indication of how it drive as such.

But engine sound gr8 , clutch seems good handbrake good. Starter motor looks moldy :S dont know if thats a prob.

Also my engine dont seem to be walmin up recon its the thermostate

my corsa\'s in for its MOT on thursday, its going to the garage next to my dads workshop, knows the guy well. and it seems all solid so it should pass well hopefully lol.

thats what i thort when i took my car in. turned out i needed a load of stuff doing

my dads built many car. He gonna just got though a quick check for me at the weekend.

As i said before

Engine Sound perfect and i must say i have reved it being a 17 year old lad and no ratlles or anything.

Gears change smoothly

no noises

But i got a couple of lil niggles nothing major. Just a few dash lights gone heater and stuff.

Also i think the thermsiate has gone as my engine doesnt seem to heat up that quick

Ive heard the hand brake cable can be something in this car is this true

Also i have noticed my starter motor looks kinda moldy still runs fine though.

Engine starts before first turn over

Lights all work


ANything thing else i shoudl check. Also theres not rust what so eveer

very stock. Anything you think i could do without adding insruacne and not to much cost
