Alloy wheel question

Post by Brycey »

Looking at getting Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2\'s

Image

those to be precise.

I want 7x16\", and lower it 60mm.

BUT they only do ET30 in 7x16\" size, will this be a major issue?

Should i just get 7x15\" with ET40 or ET48?

Or would the 7x16\" be ok?

You need the ET49 offset mate or you will have major problems on 60mm. I have ET49 195/16/40 wheels and tyres and i currently have her sitting on 40mm g-max springs, and i have stacks of room left under the arches but the car still looks low. Lowering 60mm on ET49 offset will look sweet, especially on those dynamics wheels. Im selling up on my 40mm springs and getting 60mm. You know it makes sense!

That means 15\" and -60mm though :(

I wanted 16\" and -60mm!

Dont mind chopping up the arches to save the scrubbing.

What size are your wheels? You car is still too high, so i agree that you need that extra -20mm

You really shouldn\'t be looking for ET30 wheels on a Corsa - I went through so many wheel bearings on my Nova and Corsa with ET40 wheels.

The ET30 number isn\'t about getting wheels onto the car, it\'s about keeping the car\'s geometry in check. I personally don\'t know enough about setting up a car\'s geometry so I try and stick with what Vauxhall think is about right - ET45 to ET49.

Rimstock make the Pro Race 1s in ET45.

Can you get J6x16? they will let you go down pretty low. J7\'s will be a push.

I think the 1.2\'s will only be 7J, typical size for Rimstock wheels.

Thats hopefully what im getting mate, my wheels are 16inch and my car looks low but i want it lower. Its not worth chopping up arches mate, cos if u dont get the right offset youll have more problems to face. My car aint high mate, just not low enough for my liking. 40mm has just taken my car back to the standard ride height really.

Size Offset PCD
7.0 x 14 e25 / 30 / 38
7.0 x 15 e15 / 20/ 35 / 40 / 48
7.0 x 16 e15 / 30
7.5 x 17 e15 / 25 / 33 / 38 / 40 / 48
8.0 x 17 e20 / 25 / 30 / 38 / 40 / 48
8.0 x 18 e11 / 20 / 30 / 35 / 40 /42

Those are the sizes they come in, looks like -60mm and 7x15\" with ET48.

Ok,someone got a pic of corsa slammed 60mm on 15s?
