suspension....pls dnt cringe lol

Post by kupo »

rite im have got to make the decision of what to lower my car by. I am going for a gmax kit as it is within my budget an i am going to fit it myself with my dad.

The thing is i know i will be safe dropping it the 40mm but i know if i do that on a full kit and spend the £200 it wont be low enough. If i am to drop the car 60mm will it scrub at all? :?

i Have cav gsi rims et49 with 195 50 15 rubber on the and wonder if i lower it 60mm will i have to remove any of the bolts from the arch?

thanks for any help !!!

with your wheels being the perfect offset for your corsa and decent tyres then you can lower 60mm and have no problem at all, you wont have to do anything to the arches

erm, not to sure, i no that you will defo got one person in the back and you should be able to get two people in the back, might rub if you have two people in the back when going over speed bumps and going round corners fast, just go over speed bumps slow

give you an idea, i had 195,45,15 offset of et45 and lowered 50mm on apex springs and 3people could get in with no rubbing, but it was close and they were not fatties

yeah go for the 60mm if you want i can almost guarantee you wont have problems, especially with the correct vaux offset (theres always the exception and some springs drop more then others)

remeber to have the tracking checked after it\'s lowered, it normally makes the car mega toe out.

i bought APEX sports kit a few years ago and lowerd it -60mm on 195/45/15\'s.. had no problems whatso ever with it rubbibg..

now its still -60mm but with 205/40/17\'s.. still no rubbing and didnt have to do anything to get em to fit!

only time it ever rubs is if you hit a dip in the road hard or if theres a full load in car..(that never happens tho since a canna use my back seats anyway, thanks to the bucket seats.)

go for the -60mm all over. youll love it!

I will point out that a 60 mm drop with a front bodykit will catch on some of them new style \"2 lumps in middle of road\" speed bumps!

(I know I managed to half shaft my body kit hitting one)
