Gear Knob

I have just bought my first car, a white N reg Corsa (1995) and i want to change the gear knob. I was told it would un-screw if it would turn. Well, it turns but it doesn\'t un-screw. Any help as to how t get it off would be really appreciated.

If you can\'t unscrew it (and you might need to put a lot of force in) then you\'ll need to cut it off.

yea hes right, i had the same bother. Pull and turn at the same time quite hard. Theres a green/yellow holder underneath this, rip it of with a pair of pliers or vice grips then plank your new gear knob on mate.
