true if it had a lot of modificatiosn done to it then yeah a transplants probably best. but if it just a more a less standard 1.2 corsa with a few mods, then imo your best off buying a 1.6 gsi or sport then transfering tge mods you have on the 1.2 over to the 1.6 providing theyll fit of course. not only that the sport and gsi\'s will have better features than a 1.2 such as sports interior, spoiler etc etc.

Aye, totally agree, mine was a poo 1.2 ls and I\'ve changed just about everything on it so it made more sense to change the engine then start again at the time. Although I now want rid and want a plain 1.6 sport as I have a turbo conversion planned.

1.6 Conversion
Right im getting off my local vaux breaker a whole 1.6 16v astra to strip my self and he will handle crushing of car after. Is there anyhting special i need to look out for as engines not from a corsa and what to listen or look for when he gets engine running. CHeers

just listen for anything out of the ordinary.
If the engine revs smooth and is rattle free you should be fine.
Not sure on the wiring side of things etc aswell cos mine was all done with bits from a corsa but I can\'t see there being any problems.
