Strange loss of power
Hi there newbie here recently got my 1.2 16 v x reg sxi corsa and am wondering if any body can help me .
When i stop e.g. roundabouts , trafic lights. My car seems to kove off and at 2 thuosand revs it will die off and loose power and after a few seconds pick back up again.
Has anyone else had this problem if so did you find out the problem.
Thanks for your help.

Strange loss of power
i had the same problem with my nova when i first started driving.
sounds like you need new spark plug leads (ht leads) over time they break down and become high resistance, if they are really bad you can lift your bonnet at night and see sparks coming off them (engine running) just buy some new ones £17ish piece of p i s s to fit, may as well put new spark plugs in at same time £8ish
shows you how to fit them in haynes manual matey, it really is easy... i got my dad to show me how to fit them because i didnt want to break my car

I had excatly the same problem with mine mate.
And its the same car as mine! Turned out to be the air mass meter on my motor. Cost £320 to put right (Main dealer).

Corsa sxi loss of power
Great thanks for all your help in replies
One thing the spark plugs are done when i had the service done and there is no change also mine has no HT leads hence no distributer cap its picked of the ECU it has a coilpack with the plugs on the end (x12 xe ecotec)
But if it is the air mass meter that is a pricy job mate
I will see if i get to the bottom of it
Thanks all who replied
