plastic speedo surround

do u have 2 take the steering wheel off to get the plastic bit off around the clocks cos am wanting to spray it red but it wnt cum off after taking all screws out and the book dnt tell you any help ppl

no u dont need to there r dead hard to get out u might have to take the clocks out aswell u just need to keep turnin it and it should come off

just the 3 screws above the speedo have a bt fiddle and it comes off
