Corsa Badge Removal - Rear near keyhole
Anybody know if it\'s easy to remove and then reattach the little silver Vauxhall badge which is located at the back where the boot keyhole is? I am trying to spray this back to black but want to remove this silver badge first.

Doing the same thing at the mo and i prised mine off with a blunt knife. just slowly slide the knife back and forth until the badge has become unstuck. its best to take the lock surround of the car first and it might work best if you heat the badge up first with a hairdrier to soffen the glue. As for putting it back on i aint got that far yet.

I have a query re badges but it\'s more of a styling thing I think.
I have replaced my old Vauxhall and Corsa badges on the boot and I now want to get rid of the merit badges on the door, the only problem is I will need to put something back on to cover the paint fade.
Have any of you done this, if so what did you use to cover it, I\'m thinking of getting some Irmscher badges for each door, that should do it. What do you reckon?

can get the irmshcer I line badges, they would go nicely but probs not big enough to cover fade from a merit badge. The irmscher script badge is a little long for the sides in my opinion, i have one in the tailgate. You can get the opel touring car flashes for the side, or maybe a VXR badge? have a look on ebay for GM and Vauxhall badges, see what ya can find.

open ur boot and prise off all the little plastic pegs holdin the trim panel on. then un-clip the operating rod by releasing the yellow clip.then remove the three nuts and take the lock from the inside and the surround from the uotside. carefully prise the Vauxhall badge off so u cn re-use it. try pushing the two plastic bits that pass through the surround to help removing the badge. clean the surface and spray a few coats of plastic primer on the surround. wen the primer is dry, sprat the surround with the colour u wnt. finish with a coat of lacquer. then push the badge back on the surround and put a couple of blobs of glue on the inside, using a screw driver to spread it out. when it has dried, put the surround bck on the car, re-attach the 3 nuts and re-connect the operating rod and the yellow clip. finally, push the boot trim bck on the inside.
hope this helps
good luck
