Mine was slightly worse with the X16 engine, but in those days petrol was 10p/litre cheaper

i get crap mpg out of my 1.2 with 4 gears, thats probably down to me driving in 3rd gear at 30mph, if i put it in 4th at 30mph, it judders quite a lot, so its a bit of a pain, do any of you with 4 gears get that prob?

yer, my 4-speed is poo!
ill not drive at 30 in 4th, ill either drive at 35 in 4th and then chance getting pulled, or drive at 30 in 3rd.
like i said above i get about 33mpg in mine, which may be due to my driving standards, which i doubt, or just due to the fact that the cars only got 4 gears.
Ill find out when i get my 1.4 5-speed corsa on the road next week!

my x14xe does roughly 30mpg. my last one was more like 35mpg but that was on 15\'s, now im on 17\'s.
Ive also got aircon now so if im using that it can drop to even less.
It all depends where and how you drive it. I\'ve used about £20 worth of fuel over the last week & a half but cars only done one long 40mile trip out of town, rest of it has been toddling around, only done 100-150miles, cant say exactly since BF been using it a lot too but thats like 20-25mpg. But going to trax i worked it out at about 30mpg and that was with air con on most of the way home!

Bearing in mind i have an induction kit and de-cat... That wont make much difference will it?
I was drivin it 2 slow before, eg - not drivin over 2k so i had 2 put my foot hard down 2 get it moving. Now im changing between 2.5-3k and its alot better!
Ive done 50mile to £10 and its still on the 1st notch!
