ive already posted a question about changing my seat belt buckle but i found this...............
Recall on Vauxhall Corsa \'B\'
Vauxhall is asking owners of the Corsa \'B\', the predecessor of the current all-new second generation Corsa (including Tigra), to visit their dealers. Depending on the model variant, the seat rails on one or both of the front seats will be reinforced. In addition, a small number of vehicles will be fitted with new seat belt buckles on both front seats. Under long term extreme load conditions, both components may show signs of material fatigue and premature wear.
How long are recalls valid, obviously this is a safety issue. Its a 1994 1.2 that i have. Also i came across this to
VAUXHALL CORSA/TIGRA HEALTH and SAFETY RECALL NOTICE
The MSA has received this message from the Driving Standards Agency DSA
URGENT MESSAGE - VAUXHALL CORSA/TIGRA RECALL
You may have heard over the weekend that Vauxhall Motors are to recall over 500,000 vehicles for urgent safety inspections.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
Corsa B (N.B. The new shaped Corsa is not part of this recall)
Corsa Vans
Combo
Tigra
PROBLEM AREAS
There are two areas of concern:
Security of front Driver and Passenger seats
This affects 586,538 vehicles built between 1993 - 1999 (inclusive)
Driver and front passenger seat adjustment rails may fracture and cause the seats to become insecure
Seat belt locking mechanisms
This affects 116,176 vehicles built between 1999 - 2000 (inclusive)
Driver and front passenger seat belt locking mechanism may separate when loaded in a frontal impact.
Obviously my car doesn\'t fall into the year span for the seat belt problem however the problem they describe is the problem i have.

vehicle recalls
Best thing to do is contact your local Vauxhall dealer who will be able to advise you.
It\'s possible that the problm you\'ve got is just down to general wear and tear rather than a component failure.
