Engine Problems (x16xe corsa sport)

Since i got the car iv had problems wiv the engine ... the day after i got it the head gasket went .. this was fixed but not correct as a rag was left in the camshaft, the engine was then stripped back down and the rag and stray bits removed .... then the spark plugs holes were full of oil .... the rocker cover gasket was replaced again!

The car runs \'lumpy\' and often on 3 cylinders ... up to 3000rpm its rough then its like a honda hitting vtech its jus GOES then other times its got a total flat spot n doesnt go over 70mph!

Absolutely drinks petrol (85 miles to Â£25 on occasions) ...

It reeks out oil (blue fumes) ... burns oil bad (2 litres every couple of weeks)

SOMEBODY HELP!!!

changed leads, plugs, jus had exhaust fitted so should b sound .... need to do the whole engine clean thing ... need to get to the bottom of these problems!

The problem gets worse ..... car is running on 3 maybe only 2 cylinders today, nae good like! Checked leads and plugs but there all new so dont seem to b anythin wrong wiv them .... SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!

hi when you had the head done did you have the head skimmed/checked ? have had a compression test done? is there any emol in the oil filler cap? i think you may have a warped or cracked head may even be the block thats warped

you say its losing oil is it burning it or leaking it? if it burning it it either rings or the valve stem sills or a cracked warped head
