does anyone know if this is checked in mot cuz i kind of snapped mine off n lost the pipe in the boot when i fitted my spoiler, :oops:

Erm, i think it only has to work, if its there with regards to rear windscreen wipers so if in doubt just rip your rear windscreen wiper off (my white corsa came as standard without one and has passed its mot 3 years on the trot :thumbs:

ive had mine smoothed over, its not an mot requirement that it works i believe. it\'ll be fine matey :thumbs:

Yer, but at the same time, im sure that ive been told that if its there, it has to work. If its not, then it doesn\'t matter.... :lol:

Just ring the dam test centre up and ask them! :lol: haha

yeah not a bad idea to phone and ask,
you might be thinking of the spare tyre, dont need one for mot, but if its there and bald you fail an mot..... that old chestnut

Naaa, theres lots of things that if they are there and not working you fail, but if not there then it doesnt matter:

Im not sure but i think these all come under this catagory;

Side repeaters
Spare Wheel being bald
Rear wiper

Btw, will get pictures up of those leccy windows for you asap. If your on msn anytime soon give me a kick up the arse and ill go and do them :thumbs:

tbh i think it has to work my mate does mots and i have sent him a msg i will let you know asap.

there are stupid rules in the mot like if you have a fuel leak then it will fail but if you have a gbh ( great big hole ) then it wont fail on it ??? and on you high level break light if there is a bulb out then it can fail but if the wiring has been unpluged then it will be ok work them out lol

it will not fail if you take the wiper away if you keep the wiper it WILL fail

well i was told today that they dont look at the rear wiper but to be on the safe side just fix it as you get charged full price now for a retest
