ah! need something to do to my car!

Post by MonkeeBoy »

Any suggestions? :P lol
I\'ve got some money saved up, gonna by handbrake handles and thinking of getting a strut brace... but not sure if i should do that now or wait till i lowered it :? any other stuff i can do to my Corsa (except a back box or exhaust system .... for now :D)

.... hmmm OK random question about strut brace, shall i or shall i not? because I\'ve not lowered my car yet, is there any point?

Cheers MonkeeBoy

Well I\'m gonna get alloys and lower it.... but I\'ve only been driving for around 5 months, so not sure if insurance company will be happy to know they\'ve been insuring me with all this stuff they don\'t know about (because i ain\'t telling them!! lol)... so you reckon i should tell them about the minor stuff I\'ve done as well which is:
Eye lids
Gear knob
Pedals
and Hand brake handle
Air induction kit
erm.... head light (just a slight tint of blue... more white and bright than blue really lol)

and also tell them about lowering and alloys? well or at least ask them :P lol
I can spend enough because i can just save up for it :P, its just a matter of waiting for me moneyssss.....
cheers for the help atm and for l8r on, if any :Dhehe

ask the ins how much itll be

before you do it

and if you do it and not tell them, your insurance is void. which is very bad
even if you lower it the strut brace won\'t do much appart from look pretty!
Strut brace even helps a std car, makes the mid corner feel much tighter.

But only really looks pretty unless you intent to throw it about lots.

Yeah i sort of throw the car round :p....lots! lol, but only when the roads are dry obviously lol, i DO want to live :D

example of my \"throwing the car round loads\" my dad goes round round about at around a safe 10-15mph... me i usually go 20-30 lol :P and not wise with now handling modification either lol but tis fun, only when its raining i drive sensibly :P lol

They probably wont put your premium up if there anything below 15\'\', My insurance company allow anything 2\'\' above the standard size wheels, so fortunatley i didn\'t have to pay any extra to insure them. but dont not tell them otherwise your up the poo if you have an accident like Adam said.

gearknob and handbrake handle not really worth telling but you might aswell to make sure, foot pedals deffo ask about as i think some insurers are quite fussy about them, infact to be on the safeside your best declaring everything. o yeah and if you get alloys make sure you buy locking wheel nuts as my insurance company would not of insured me if i didn\'t.
