Hi Everyone!
Im fitting a 2.0L 16v Redtop lump into my 1997 corsa b! Im just buying an engine now, jus missed out on one on ebay. looking for another one, prefferably from a calibre and i need all the gear i.e LOOM, ANCILLARIES, ELECTRICS, ETC ETC ETC...
Im going to have it out for abit and get it running minimum of 200+ bhp! im completely overhaulin my car really, im a panel beater and sprayer, dats my job, so bodywork aint a problem. Basically id just like to know if any of you have done it (the transplant) and what was it like? and has any one been in a corsa with a standard 2.0L 16v lump in it? if so, what did it go like?
My corsa is a 1.4 16v Sport at the moment, quite quick tho, so ill be selling that engine! Any advice or answers would be greatfull!
Cheers ladz and ladettes!

So you\'ve not bought yourself an engine yet? Great stuff... I\'m selling an engine that was in a Corsa B - so have the complete conversion available.
Engine, gearbox (6-speed), all the wiring loom (both engine and Corsa - pre converted), engine mounts, driveshafts (MTech motorsport shafts), hubs, wishbones, PAS conversion, etc.

I have just had my engine conversion completed by a mate he can have it completed fully working in a weekend! I found it a lot easier this way than doing it myself. Mine is running Courtney cams and Courtney chip not sure of BHP but it really shifts compared to 1.6 only problem is wheel spin. Let me know if you want the number of the guy doing the conversions.

Having done a the odd few now, in terms of straight line acceleratoin it\'s a different league than the 1.6 the nearly 50% extra torque is veryt telling on the car. just forces you in to the seat, big all round.
In the corners I alwasy find a small block to be better, but for a daily car to thrash abotu and have fun the 2L is the bang per buck and easier to live with day to day than a turned up 1.4 or 1.6.
It\'s a fairly straight forward conversion aslong as you are confident wiht tools then it\'s ok. There\'s a couple of small things which if you know makes life much easier.
Joff, how much for the F28, mount linkage and cluthc plate? If I swapped for a F20 etc..

For the gear linkage, don\'t mess about just fit the MTech mount spacer and extended shortshift linkage.
