Bit of advice needed

Post by CorsaB_Nibs »

Well i\'ve got a Lreg corsa, it\'s on 123,000 miles on the clock. Needs a new speedo cable aswell and a few wee bits of rust on body work, nothig too major.
Car is reliable and sturdy and got fond of it now even thou people are telling me to get it shot cause of the high mileage.

Was wondering on opinions wether to look for another corsa or replace the engine, it\'s 4 gear pretty slow but its reliable as hell starts first time always without a doubt and just great running.

Would it be worth the hassel to replace the engine and gear box or just sell this corsa and look for another with low mileage?

You could maybe get a 1.4 sport or sri and then put your bits on it. Can get them quite cheap

Ask robmarriot on here, I\'m not sure, but he did have a 1.4 16v engine for grabs not so long ago, he might still have it??

tbh i think if i was you id keep till the end of winter then get rid, my cars a 97 and already has got a bit of rust on the sills and a odd bubble here and there even though its genraly in good condition for its age.
