Nova project on hold for a while

After deciding over christmas the nova wuldn\'t be ready for this years track days etc.. due to costs and time contraints, I\'ve stopped it. I\'ve sold off the engine, TB\'s sus cage slicks and lots of other small bits.
But don\'t go to mad, I\'ve replaced it with a 205 GTi (yes the enemy) it\'s a well sorted car ready for miles of track abuse, and is just a stop gap till I have the nova ready. so now plan of action is to do minor bits to the new one (collecting saturday) then start on the nova\'s rebuild (yes again again agin etc... )

As all the bits I\'ve sold off it are bits I don\'t really need or want anymore, but the new nova will be pretty crazy, but not till next year (with luck)

Pics of new car to follow, and progress thread on nova to be up dated soon with pics of it lookgin sorry for itself.

Are you changing the engine in the Nova as we discussed not long ago?

Yes that is the engine it shall be blessed with, but not going to be too soon really. will have a little hot hatch collection I think (bar the blue ovals, nott a chance)

Got the pug, missed 4th gear in it last night and valves have been forcefully introduced to the pistons, strip down to come. Also possiblity I\'ve holed a piston as swarf and water in the oil.

It\'s to do with it wasn\'t going ot be ready for this summer, so I\'ve sold off all the bits I don\'t want on it, and I\'m start from scratch, I\'ve bought a 205 GTi with a Mi16 in this summer, nova will be done eventually, see you at the Pod

Says it all really. Hunting a new Mi 16 engine now, given myself 2 weesk to fix it so 12days remaining.
