Corsa for Sale - Opinions/Advice Needed

Hi, first off great to see the sites back up and running! What happened?

Anyhow, back to topic, im after a bit of advice etc - there is a bloke near my work selling a 1996 corsa b, 1.4 16v, only its done 114000 miles, hes got it advertised for £1000 ono, would the car be worht making a lower offer than the 1k and do a 2l engine conversion or would there be more faults with the car than just the engine? If worth going for how much max?
