The aftermath of my x16xe deheading..
prev topic: http://www.corsa-b.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4139
When at first I started to rebuild the 16xe i thought it would al be okay after getting the head fixed..
however the lump also seemed to be damaged at a later stadium..
so.. here are some pictures of whats been going on since i noticed it..
pics of deheading:

pics of the rest of the dismounting:
http://stripdir.com/sd/?url=http://flui ... demontage/
my christmass present:
Recently rebuilt c20xe
82 degr thermostat
allready in a corsa! so includes all needed parts!
std engine and ecu ecept for the mtech sfi-replacement and K&N filter
including exhaustsystem etc...
because i\'ve never done it before.. it did take me alot of time to get the engine out without breaking stuff
but after a few days of cursing it was ready to get welded:
Copied the M-Tech chassis strenght kit
Going to paint the entire engine bay again so dont mind the brown goo
rented a box for the rest of the work.. I think the engine will go in this upcomming weekend
some days later...
another day later...
the little things that whe\'re left over after that...
Overview pict (Green pipe has to go.. doesn\'t fit at all..)
Still working on a hose for this:
modified x16xe airco radfan:
and since last saturday it finally drives!
the radhose fits perfect!
started and running!

All the above comments are deemed an opinion, and in most cases

in comparission to the mantzelled 16xe the handling has improved..
However, I do know that a fully tuned 16xe with TB\'s would handle better. This because of the lower weight upfront, and better lower-revs performance then a mantzelled 16xe
