right car got wrote off cat C, insurance paid out £1500 and let me keep the car, car drives fine etc but needs a MOT done, cant get it done yet as i got a few electrical problems i.e. when i brake the front lights come on etc..... anyway moving on
New Front Bumper - £60
New Bonnett - £60
Air Con Radiator - £100
Normal Radiator - £40
Idle Control Valve - £40
Horn - £40
Front Cross Member - £40
Spraying / Colour Code - £200
right those prices are going off ebay prices roughly, girlfriends old man can get things fairly cheap as he has done in the past, he is hopefully going to be doing all the fitting and stuff for me, He did get quoted £100 to spray the bumper and colour code all the black so im sure to do a bonnett wont be much more.
Above, all that comes too £600 !!! do you reckon this is a reasonable price or am i too low and will it be more ?? Also the electrics will need to be looked at like i said as the car also runs when the key is out providing the foot is off the brake pedal, only does it sometimes though. Aint got a clue how much this may cost me but ive got £1500 to play with so if im correct with my prices then £600 plus giving her dad some money and gonna try get him to borrow me a car till mines sorted, probably end up at about £900 or something, this leaves £600...... MOT once work is carried out and tax about £120 leaving £480 depending on what the electrical stuff may cost i may have about £400 to spend on some goodies for the car not bad or should i just get rid lol
Price ?? Too Low Or Probably Right ??

Personally I say get rid of it.
Cars are never the same once been in an accident esp one which requires alot of work.
And when u come to sell it will be down as a cat c so be harder to sell and u wont get as much because of the background. Strip it and sell whats left of it and get yourself another car with all the money

from the pics which i posted a while back, its not really major damage, its minimal tbh, new bonnett and bumper which could prob be sanded down and resprayed and bonett knocked out and sprayed. its only the radiators that need properly replacing, but ill replace all if i go down that road, the idle control valve has been in need of replacing for a while now

i agree with karen, you might be better off stripping it down and getting something else with the money that you get from the parts plus the cheque
