if insurance is a problem, go for a 2000 reg or as close to it, and get a 1.2 16v
or 1.4 16v

1.2 sxi - about 65bhp -
1.4 sport - about 90bhp - group 7 insurance so will be more than the sxi,

think at 17 id go for a sxi personallly, you can pick them up for under £2000 nowadays. sport has 1 or 2 more features though like electric windows etc. sxi has most of the same trim as the sport aswell.

I\'m 17 and looking to buy a 1.2l 16v sport 2000 reg, as i want p/s & e/w because i am a fussy git. but also looking to get one under 40,000 miles so the price is looking more like 2k - 2.5k ;)

youll be hard pushed trying to find a sxi with leccy windows mate, most have the wind down type. there again you could get some installed easily. ive considered getting a b sxi for my next car as they have a preety good spec and cheap to insure.
