You\'ll be best speaking to your insurance company then. Only you know if it\'s too soon for you to go up to a 2.0 engine.

if you want to know how much your insurance company will charge you\'re best phoneing them. I would imagine with being 18 they will either say not a chance or laod your premium and increase your excess.

Don\'t be tempted to do the work and not tell them either.

That just opens up a can of worms.

How much have you been quoted?

The snagging bitch is that they calculate your insurance on a conversion from what bhp the old engine was to the difference it is now. For instance on mine it was a 1.2 8V 45bhp now its 2.0 16V turbo which is (200bhp) thats 29/30% increase in difference. I have 5 yrs no claims but co op\'s computer wrote one of my years no claims off an they dont backup your poo so only have 4 yrs i can proove an been driving over 6 yrs pisses me off but thats the co-op poo for you norwich union wont insure conversions and well Tesco are safest bet I recon.

My quote was £460 with clifford alarm/suspension uprated an brakes and bigger wheels for safety increased bring it down, then i declared £2000 worth of mods to engine bay so intercooler/chargecooler/chromeing is all coverd not worried about bodywork so much as someone else did all that before I bought the car unlike my last corsa where me an my old boss hand moulded it all lol.
