the 8 valver corsas really lack in power, i know its less than the 55bhp 1.0 12valver corsa

It is definitely 45BHP, but BHP is not a really accurate measurement of how much power an engine produces, besides that, it also depends on how good the transmission is at transfering the power from the engine to the front wheels!!!

I bet you Vauxhall measures the power of their engines at the flywheel, not at the front wheels.

A 1.0 12v has MORE BHP, but, it is still gets from 0-60 slower than a 1.2 8v!

Torque is also an important factor, a 1.2 8v has more Torque at lower revs than a 1.2 16v.

speakin of bhp and performance stats, anybody with a 2.0l engine conversion got performance stats, 0-60times, BHP etc. thinking of the gains in power
