Re: paint
ad go for 2 & a half litres to be safe. thinners and paint i think is about 50/50 doesn\'t realy matter cos thinners only thins the paint out if you know what i mean!!

Re: paint
depends what paint you buy as to what ratio you thin it.cellulose paint is normally thinned 50/50 but 2 pack paint is thinned normally 2:1 ratio with either thinners if its basecoat or activator/hardener if it is topcoat (i.e. solid colours and laqcuer) thinners can also be added to topcoats to make it flow more.
Personally i think it is always best to get any paint work done professionally if you are not sure but the best way to start is to buy a small compressor and spray gun and just do little bits and learn from your mistakes.its like anything really just about trial and error.

Re: paint
Would recommend the use of 2k paint... would mix the base coat 3 parts paint, 1 part base coat thinner, 1 part base coat stabaliser possibly 5% anti scilicon depending on the conditions you have... for the laquer (clear coat, top coat) 2 parts laquer, 1 part activator (wouldnt use anything more than fast for a novice) and down to temprature, painters prefrence etc 10% 2k thinners (fast) HOPE THIS IS HELPFULL

Re: paint
good advice from S.A Corsa.as said it all depends on painters preference/ conditions.if unsure always sekk proffesional advice but dont be frightened to have a go on something small first (ie a bumper or wing)
