Hi there wonder if anyone can help me
I had recently put out a post wondering if anyone new where I could get 5 door corsa B rear smoked lights from. I had a reply by the name of feckers stating he sold 3 dr ones on ebay but could do one specially for me for 5dr. Of course I said yes. The lights cost £45 inc P&P I payed by paypal and recieved them last wednesday.
When I got them the lights were rapped in bubble wrap and had left not marks but indents where the bubble wrap was and it was very obvious if I was to put this on my car!!
I emailed the guy \'feckers\' and told him about what had happened and explained it was quite bad this is his reply:
These should just polish out of the lights. Like you said it was most probably the very hot weather and where Royal Mail had them stored. Try using some glass cleaner to polish any imperfections out of the lights and let me know.
I then said to him that if I can have confirmation via email that it is ok to do this then I will try, because as you can understand I dont want to take his advice and then try it and it doesnt work and be unable to send them back as he would state I did the marks on them.
Any way his reply was:
I did not quite understand what you meant to say in your last message -
\"however on the condition that I have confirmation on an email stating that if this doesn\'t work you will correct them, as you may understand the reasons.\"
Could you please clarify what you mean. Also if you could get me some pictures of the lights so i can see their condition, as they were sent out to you in A1 conditon.
I then explained to him this and sent him the pics and
Yes, i can see where the bubble wrap has left imprint marks on the lights. I would not worry about taking the paint off the lights through polishing as they have been laquered in a high temperature environment to produce their finish. I suggest you do try using a few products to polish the marks out first of all and if you are unsuccessful with that then get in contact and we will arrange a solution.
So therefore he admits the problem I explained this still hasnt worked and this was his final reply:
If you want i can re-do the lights for you. It will involve stripping the lights back down again to their bare surface and starting from scratch. I can do this for you at the cost of materials and postage, i.e. i will not be charging you for the work i do or time i spend on them. This is the best that i can do for you, if you are interested then let me know and we can arrange in more detail.
Is this cheeky or what?
What does everyone think? Suggestions and opinions welcome!

sounds like hes being fair to be honest. If your really that fussed maybe look at claiming off post office/parcleforce if thay were insured but then you have got to prove that it was damaged it transport so that would be a fairly weak case anyway
Are there any pic\'s of the lights that you can post on here ?

Sounds like the laquer was too soft when he rapped them up i think it\'s Feckers fault!! I could lean on my car all day and it wouldn\'t leave any form of marks on the laquer. I would demand a refund or send them back for him to do the work free of charge or get on to Paypal and claim off them. You would be better off doing the work yourself at least you know it\'s done right!!!!

Hi there thanks for all your comments, I have got someone to try and t cut them as I was not getting anywhere with this guy and it seems to have helped it but I didn\'t want to do this at first incase I was then unable to return but like I said thanks for your comments!
I do still think the situation could have been handled better I was willing to pay for P&P however when you buy something you do expect it to come to you in good condition. But thanks again
