power steering was an option up to 5/96 nearly standard after then apart from the very basic models

i saw an 8v sri with power stering on ebay the other day the 8v sri engine is better than the 16v so shop hard andd get your self an sri 8v m8. and i am sure marky will agree hopefully lol fingeres crossed!

16v ecotec engines are ok youve just got to look after them and keep them well serviced. but i will say the old 8v lump are very strong and if looked after can do 2-300k miles before a rebuild not so much the 1.2-1.4 tho as these get ragged/tuned to death

i love my 1.2 8v and yer it isnt a fast car but alor better built than the 1.2 esotec errrrrrr. and plods along nicely and with me new 1.2 8v gls i am currently doingi get pas/ew/ffsr/abs so will be a good runner even though i will be trying to get my hands on a 1.4 8v single point to throw in it i think and doing a few mods like marky has done. and marky has proved a point that muli valve and high bigger cc engines dont always result is good engines as you should all chek out markys project and see what a proper tuned engine looks like rarther than just throwing in a big heavy lump.
