hey,
just ordered some infinity 6512si door speakers (www.bassjunkies.com) and i got the brackets from halfords, someone told me that the bottom of the door card wont fit with the speakers in cos they stick out 2much, is it true or all load of poo?

the plastic grill just touched my speakers when they first went in so i just shaved a few mm's off the back of the grilll with a stanley. u'll see where i mean if they do catch. just remember that the cone may still hit the grill at high volumes.

i got the same adapters, and i jus forced my door card around them, seems to be ok :thumbs:

i dont understand why people pay those silly prices for those brackets/adapters.
when i replaced my front door speakers i just gutted the original 1s and screwed my new kenwoods into the old frame.
job done and saved me a fortune!

yeah i did the same wiv mine maybe a lil bit 2 big 4 the door card but i think its done the job ok, if not it's pretty easy 2 mod your door card!

hmmm when i first got my front speakers i just rememberd banging the speaking part wider to fit them in lol, eventurally bought brackets and they aren't that expensive i only paied £3 for mine :P thats because it sounded kinda crap without the brackets

when i amped my door speakers, got the wires in there and stuff, and they just fitted on with speaker adapters etc and with the door car screwed on, but now, when i go round corners etc, the speaker in which im turning into the door with doesnt work until i go stright again, similar with other corner, and that door speaker wont work lol, tis funny, having conering sound aswell.
