lil hooligan
this one will be a long running one.
will take up my free time, and most of my cash.
immediate plans are, strip it all down
clean underside, dont know weather to treat and waxoil it, or have it painted,
grind off anything i dont need,
re-paint interior, and sort out the dash, controls and loom.

Re: well well well 12v project
the donor
and before i get roasted for splitting a cally heres the list of to do to get it throu its next mot and make it roadworthy and usefull
replace solid fuel lines
replace pass wing
replace sunroof
replace hanbrake cables and handbrakes
replace rear shoes and drums and cylinders
refit exhaust using rubber not zip ties
replace engine under trray
fit all new arb rubbers
new shocks and springs
repair or replace interior as its worn and horrible
new front disks and pads
fix abs sensor wiring
new front bumper
fix central locking
fix window runners
replace top dash-to-winscreen plastic as its cracked apart
new door hinges and catch straps
both side where its jacked up have corroded and collapsed
there could be more, but yes this car is deserving of being ripped apart
and the simple winning factor 150bhp in a car that weighs 1.2 tonne
or 150bhp in a car that weighs about 800kg max
i know what im going for
engine will get a compression test, depending on result will see the engine getting a couple of gaskets and timing gear done, or engine getting all new gaskets bearing etc etc

Re: well well well 12v project
Is this just a track car, or will it be registered?
If it is a track car i'd keep the Calibra mags as spares.
I'll be doing this when I source my donor Camira (they came with what can only be described as "retro" mags).
