not good. :(
sor far i have started to fit my new inlet, stripped it all down, new inlet threads turned out to be gone, so i re-tapped those
then the throttle body was foulding a bolt sorted that
fitted the short shift kit 3 times, first time the clamp bolt stripped its threads.
now onto the worse bit, upon jacking the car up in the garage a car will lean, well
mine leaned into the wall and now needs a new rear 1/4 panel.
so- so far, i have a short shift kit, a unfitted dbilas, a engine that doesnt work, no gaskets to fit the dbilas, and a mulled rear 1/4 panel
oh and im walking to work

Re: not good. :(
Is there no way of repairing the rear 1/4 as is?? Or does it literally need a new panel??
Not good dude fook!
I take it the threads on the inlet were stuffed before fitting??

bring it out, tbh may not be as bad as the sound makes it (enclosed space, echo)...
you only really worry if you crack glass or something, anything else can be bashed out and repaired

right studs arent long enuff, gonna have to make some 40mm ones, not 25mm ones.

Re: not good. :(
new studs fitted, inlet on, all breather bar one is on, wiring modyfyed, 1 coolent pipe to extend, and a earth to find a home, fix a bracket up fo the fuel vent tank sensor.
and decide to route cam cover breather to infront of tb as was before, or catch tank its ass. then start her up, then get underneath and tidy up re-routed stuff,

Re: not good. :(
jib off the coolant hose and just go from the return to the header tank. you can bypass the tb all together
breather - ketchup bottle every time

Re: not good. :(
right, all built, just needs tydying
started its ass, run first time, smoked a little "carb cleaner an wd in inlet system"
went for a lil blast pulls better top end, 5k upwards it still pulling which is what i was after.
gotta check levels tomorow, and then get under it, make sure wiring is secure, then make a catch tank of some sort
then off to bodyshop to sort rear 1/4 out
