into a corsa b, originally x12xe.

is there much of a difference to fit this bigger engine.. i was told they look the same, but cannot find any pictures.. has ne1 done this and have fotos or what?

i was wondering if the x18xe would be a str8 sap for the x12xe

From what I\'ve read/been told...

Depends... there are 2 versions of the X18XE, small-block & big-block...

Small-block ones will go straight in, and you can use existing 16v mounts from a 1.6i engine, aswell as the F15CR box from the X16XE...

The big-block one may need some fiddling & will also need an F16

The X18XE is found in the Astra, but try find the small-block one as it should be easier to fit!

yeh the small block one would be perfect, coz my 1.2 is a small block.. it looks different form the sport engines.. iam lookin summit that would drop str8 in and not look different

if there is such an engine.

Only one will be X14XE/X16XE as the inlets on the X18XE are completely different...

m8 not worth doing. m8 of looked in to it cost the same as red top for the parts for the engine to fit might as well spend a bit extra and get a red top.

iam only 18, so this wud work out cheaper.. what car is the 14xe found in?

is it a str8 swap?

X14XE is found in later spec Corsa SRi 16v\'s and Corsa Sport 1.4

straight swap too as all parts are readily available & engines can be picked up quite cheaply

hum, so if i get a sport engine, g/box and ecu it will all go in with no problems.

or cud i use my 1.2 g/box?

You will need the engine loom also... and possibly the mounts!

So...

Gearbox (I think the SXi one will be ok)
Mounts (possibly)
ECU
Engine Wiring Loom
other lil bits & bobs (coolant hoses, etc...)
