AFM

Post by overheater987 »

Just took the plastic induction into the airbox off to have a look at the airflow mass meter, on my l reg corsa 1.2 it seems to do nothing, no movement at all. I was just trying to investigate as the car overheats when standing or moving at very slow speeds and wanted to rule this out. Should it be moving when i rev the engine etc.

Cheers

If you over heating this won't affect as it just calibrates the air fuel mixture.

sounds like your thermostat might be getting blocked, tehy are only wax filled thermostats, so take it out and dunk it in some boiling water should open and close if not then you know its the thermostat.
