Corsa Sport Alarm & Door problems

Hi people, need a little knowledge from you guys. Ive recently damaged my divers side door and unable to use the lock properly or close, also the battery is flat and i cant start the car. So my alarm is going off. Can you tell me does the alarm work off the door lock? Or off the ignition, so if im able to charge and get the car started would the alarm stop? Or is it cause i cant turn the lock properly? Hope this makes sense? Thanks in advance.

More likly to be related to the battery, the problem with the lock shouldn't affect the alarm, cos it should earth throught the pin switch with the interior light.

Cheers Matt1.2, the thing is the alarm on my Corsa Sport workd from the door lock, and as it won't turn the full way the arlarm is still active when the door is opened and i try to get in. Any further ideas??? HELP
