Re: engine transplant
might be worth while asking an engine conversion specialest like regal autosport
failing that just ask a mechanic!

Re: engine transplant
The 1.4 8v should be easy, or a nova gsi gsi 1.6 8v should be just as easy. I've done a 2.0 8v wich was pretty straight forward but a bit more expensive

Re: engine transplant
no mines the C20ne from a cav mk3 sri. the engines look the same though but the earlier ones have a little more power because of higher compression, but not sure where the increase in compression is from. I hear cam, head or pistons. Also the 16v is the same basic block so mounts the same way, i've been told, but this option is more expensive again.

Re: engine transplant
i been told only 8v will go in and not 16v coz 16v the engine is more to the drivers side compared to 8v, gonna stick with the idea of a 1.4sri lump, ne1 know where to get one lol

Re: engine transplant
sorry did mean the 2l 16v, but in this case think the pullys need changing. But your right I don't believ that it si possible to swap to a small block 16v.
Sounds like a good call but may also be worth keeping an ear out for a 1.6 8v might find one in a old astra
