i followed the paint code (72l) and i dont understand why it is so dark. not got round to putting laquer on it yet so will it look the same colour after laquer(cant really see that happening but....anyway)
im using a compressor so its all proper paint aswell

Paint form halfouds by chance, had the same problem. If so you have a burgundy or bordeaux red metallic, of the shelf in a tin is a satin red pearlescent, not sure which is the right one but have fount the satin red to be a better match.

Re: damn paint
if your using aerosol then the paint will go very dull as its crap paint to use
and if your using "propper paint" from the thins and your spraying it with a gun you want to be using 2pack paint
which you mix with activator and thinners 2:1 or something
dont use cellolose paint its basicly the stuff in aerosol pritty crap realy
make sure you use a resperator as spraying 2pack is VERY dangerous you also need to leave it a while to dry off and go hard
