if you want some serious power then u need spend alot of money

i mean a dblias perfomance manifold would give you aprox 20bhp but at £936.99
a superchip/remap be looking at about 5bhp about £300

-NGK Spark Plugs
-Magnecor Leads
-Fuel Pressure Reg
wouldnt give you any xtra horsepower but make your car alot more responcive and get rid of some flatsports in the rev range

again talking alot of pennies

cheapest way is find a cheap engine, could probably get one fitted for around £600
i was looking at a 125bhp 1.8 vectra engine for £150 call it £400 for all the xtra bits id need to fit one
deffnitly the cheapest option

i had one litre b before i got my 1.8sri corsa c, and the 1litre engine is a strong engine the amount of agro i gave mine and it never broke down, there chain drivin so no need to worry about ur cambelt snapping, they are just work horses and thats it but its not really tunable, but derestric ur air box and but a panel filter in, get u about 3bhp, costs u bout 30quid for an k'n'n panel filter, and get a stainless cat back will see u about another 3bhp powerflow for 240quid, sports cat see u another 8bhp proven hoffman katalysts 289bhp, and then a remap after all that will see another 5bhp or so 250quid, with 54 bhp as standard should see u to 75bhp but by the time uv done all that u could have an engine conversion, even like a 1.6 from a gsi or sport sees 105bhp approx and they can tune really well

guna say i gave mine some stick n i only had to replace
Radiator (My fault i put a screwdriver thru it trying to fix the horn)
Horn
crank sensor

i used to rev it, then rev it some more and THEN rev it till the valves came out n danced about on the bonnet
just took it all in its stride
did 50 in 2nd gear hitting the rev limiter no problems at all!

got 30 in 1st 52 in 2nd 78 in 3rd 97 in 4th and not enough power to top 5th out, but did have 112 coming down a long big hill between sheffield n chesterfield, now got a corsa c 1.8 sri, it does over 80 in third which is great and does hit 130.
