gearbox thingy?

gearbox thingy?
okay heres a quiestion, what is the little black plastic thing on top of the gear box? its like its a seal of some sort for the top of an opentop bolt. its about 2 or 3 cm in diameter. thanx

not sure whthout seeing it but its probably so you can add/remove gearbox oil
