black plastic trims

Post by Alice »

my corsa has colour coded bumpers with the plastic trims down the sides and plastic wheel arches etc..
i was thinking about making them the same colour as my car?
so its all colour coded because i think black plastic just looks messy
im not sure how/if it can be done properly..? because obviously the black plastic is a little texturised too...

It will take alot of work but maybe you just need to darken your black? Try buying some glym bumper care.

Get some proper stuff, and like people have said it does take aaaaaaaaages  I did all my black trim bits the other week after i washed it, and it took me longer to do the back to black than to wash the car,lol

If you do get them nice and black or colour coded defo put some pictures up :D

hey,
give them a good was with warm soapy water and prime the archs with plastic primer (i get mine from halfords) give it a few coats and try to put it on even, flat it back abit with loads of water and fine sand paper (i got mine from a body shop, £2 for a few sheets) then paint it with what ever colour you want, i done mine mat black, you can do a beter job if you take thw archs off but i done them on the car and its not a bad job. remember to mask off you paint work tho
